What's the difference between 'Online' and 'Offline'
backups in SQL 2000? Is it just that the SQL Server
services are stopped during an Offline BU?Hi,
Yes, you are correct. During offline backup we need to stop SQL Server
service and copy .MDF and .LDF files to a different location. We need to
ensure that we copy even the files belongs to system databases for faster
recovary.
