Backups

I am using the maintenance plan wizard for Full backups and tlog backups. H
ow do I include differential backups? Apparently I can't as part of the wiz
ard, can I combine the current plan (full backups + tlog backups) thru the w
izard and add a diff backup
seperately?
How to schedule them so that recovery would make sense?
ThanksYes you would simply create another job that does the diff backup... ( You
can acutally do this with the backup job Dialog box in SQL Enterprise
manager, then choose schedule.)
If you backup the whole db daily you might diff every 4 hours.. but most
folks will use diffs when they back the database up weekly... They'll do a
diff at the end of the business day, and perhaps another after nightly
batches...
