Barcode not rendering on .pdf file.
pdf, the line with the barcode is not there. I know the font is on all the
necessary machines. Does anyone have any ideas?i´ve experienced the same when my cell was a tiny bit to small.
(yes i have checked the can grow option)
just making it a bit higher solved that for me.
it still doesnt render perfectly, since it moves my barcode approx 1 cm down
when i render a PDF, but hope it helps you anyway

barcode missing when printing from reporting services
reader the report and save it to a excel spreedsheet and print then the
report prints fine with the barcode.
If while I am in the browser I use the reporting services print engine the
barcode comes out as the numbers ie *12345* instead of the barcode font. The
numbers also come up in the preview of the printing.
I have installed the font on the local and reporting service computersI have just also found that if I export to Excel the barcode works but if I
export to PDF it doesn't.

I had the same problem. I wish Microsoft would release a fix to the problem
but I found a work-around by making the textbox (that holds the barcode in
the [rdl]) 3 times larger than the required size. This will of course mess
up your design.

for the solution which can be found here...

Are there any samples available that will show me how to do this?
Do I need to purchase a third-party component?
Thanks,

suggestions? I follwed the directions to a "T". Did you have to "tweak"
anything to get it to work for you?

I have a report that uses a barcode font and it works good in thestandard HTML Report but it is blank when I export it to PDF.
It is a known defect/drawback in SQL RS. When I worked at my previouscompany we had a similar problem. We had plenty of talks with Microsoft( our company was a premiere customer) still we havent been able to geta proper response from MS. On another note I found a third party toolthat solves this issue. Cant remember the name off the top of my headwill post back if I remember.

Barcode Font can not be converted into PDF format
I installed one truetype fonts "Bar Code 39" in my PC under folder
c:\windows\fonts. I used this font for bar code print purpose. It can work
perfect if I print the report direct to printer, or export it into
TIFF/EXCEL format. However, if i want to convert the report into PDF file,
then I could not find the bar code in the PDF file.
Any idea?
Thanks in advance.
LukeTry installing the font on the server as well.

c:\windows\fonts in the reporting server side.

report correctly - sometimes, after you put a new font on a server,
you need to both:
= OPEN the font from the fonts control panel AND
= REBOOT the server before it 'knows' about the new font.
Reporting Services does not embed fonts in PDF files (which is a
great
lack).
Anyone viewing the report must have the same fonts you designed it
with, or you will see some font substitution.|||Reporting service does not embed fonts. So you need fonts on every
computer that the PDF is going to open.

Barcode font "shrinks" during PDF export
Hi all,
I'm using a free barcode font so i can create scannable tickets via reporting services 2k5. When I print the tickets, everything seems fine. But when i export to PDF though, it looks like the barcode font shrunk. All the lines are pulled together, making scanning impossible. Is there a certain setting or so that i can use to ensure the font's width ?
-Update-
The weird thing is: when i export it inside visual studio, the barcode is shown as it is supposed to in the pdf !?
Thanks in advance!
Hi,
I am facing the same issue.
Microsoft please reply.

|||Did you try to change the Report Properties to set the margin to 0 ?And make sure your design area does not exceed the paper size set in the property box and exactly fit the paper format on the printer?
I am myself having trouble with pdf page exported from ReportManager not be not too accurate. Kind of a hit and miss trial and error page set-up formating process until it gets right.
Reporting Services is not doing an excellent job at printing things, not from a typography point of view.
Any improvement would be more than welcome.

yep i tried that, but hlas, no changes :(
|||Hi,
I hate to say this, but we really did nothing to resolve the issue. Nor did I get any replies for this issue.
We just restarted the SSRS server for some reason and after that we found that it was working fine. I would suggest that you give it a shot restart the server and it may click in your case also.

If you file a bug at http://connect.microsoft.com and include the rdl and font, I'll gladly take a look.

I'd love to see that fixed.
